1. Who we are
Appiana ("we", "us", "our") operates appiana.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. Operator: jmelodie. Contact: hello@appiana.com.
2. Information we collect
Account data you provide: name, email, hashed password. Payment data: handled and stored by Stripe — we never see or store full card numbers. Usage data: pages visited, browser type, IP address, and similar logs collected automatically. Cookies: an httpOnly session cookie is required for authentication.
3. How we use your information
To create and manage your account; to process subscription payments via Stripe; to communicate with you about your account, billing, and service updates; to detect and prevent fraud or abuse; to improve our product and fix bugs.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: (a) Stripe, our payment processor, to charge your card; (b) infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email) strictly to operate the Service; (c) law enforcement when legally compelled.
5. Data retention
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure for tax and legal compliance. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@appiana.com.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Email hello@appiana.com to exercise these rights.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Sessions use httpOnly, secure cookies. All traffic is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.
8. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own (including the United States). By using the Service you consent to these transfers.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
